Show & Tell

Objects as Story

  • It’s a spectacle of wonder. A simple object carries a story, and suddenly that object has provenance. These gatherings are not performative. We hold an object in our hands and talk about what it means to us.

  • Well, it’s all about meaning. If something has meaning to you, that usually means we’re moved by laugher or tears or awe or surprise. Here are a few examples of objects shared in Show & Tell events we’ve already experienced.

  • Okay. Here are more things to know:

    • Show & Tell is for adults 18 +

    • A good event usually has no more than 12 presentations. Each one is under 4 min.

    • When you RSVP, tell us about your object. We usually pick the first 12 people. So timing is important.

    • Good food is a thing. We bring it on.

    • We also have a group speed round. So everyone gets to meet everyone. It’s only for a few minutes. And it lasts a lifetime ;)

  • These events always benefit from food and beverage sponsorships. Please reach out if you’d like to share your latest drink, cookie, etc
