We’re aligned with the 30 + pop-up game nights that happen all over the city throughout the month. You know the ones - trivia night and bingo in bars, cards and chess in cafes, mahjong in dedicated living rooms, puzzles where pieces can be spread out without a dog or baby eating one. These legacy gatherings are the backbone of why we exist.
We need to play more often, without looking at our calendars for when and where. The Play Full Society offers something as constant as a gym membership - just exercising a different set of muscles.
Expect a place that feels like a bunch of well-designed livings rooms, that cater to the full-body needs of people who regularly drop into card games, backgammon, chess, puzzles, and tile games like mahjong and dominos. Drop in anytime during the day, or for trivia nights and master classes after 7 pm. There will also be a space for knitters and writers to do their thing. Ice-breaker events will be a regular monthly thing, to build community, and to keep us from taking ourselves too seriously.
The Play Full Society is not a cafe, but there will be gourmet coffee and fresh food delivered daily by happy vendors.
